There's a pile of empty cans with holes through them around the fence and he's setting an unpunctured can on top of the fence and walking back to a line he drew in the dirt.

Jinn drops so low that he's nearly parallel to the ground, the sprints towards Shian.

Jinn just bolts and attempts to scoop Shian up over their shoulder.

*just about yelps as they're scooped up, flailing, as the D.D. Crows static and freeze*

"If I do that you'll summon something else. If I do this, even if you summon something you won't be close enough to it for it to get energy from you."

*tries to focus to have the crows go after your head at least, which results in some minor success in having them at least dive at you*
