"It would really be much easier for you if just remained on the ground this time."
The words came from a slender man, covered almost entirely in a coat that resembled a robe, and a wide brimmed hat. He was speaking to a much larger man, whom he had apparently knocked to one knee. However, he wasn't there for long bolting upright and aiming a compact, high speed swing towards the other man's jaw, shouting a very eloquent "GO.. TO.. HELL!" as he did. Despite the speed and lack of irrelevant motions, the thinner man easily avoid it, and once again countered it, putting the large man back on the ground.
"Again, I must insist you stay on the ground." he signed, adjusting his hat. "I would imagine my sister wouldn't be thrilled if you end up injured, even if I explain the circumstances." the mention of his sister set the floored man off again, once again causing him to bolt into a full swing, which was again avoided, to the inside this time. "You're never going to hit me like this." he quipped, launching his counter-strike yet again.
However, much to his surprise, it missed, the bigger man avoiding it, and turning his own missed punch into a triangle choke, grapping around the obscured figure's neck and arm with his own arms. "Finally.. got you.." Jinn said through gritted teeth, keeping his hands locked around the other man's arm and neck as tightly as he could. Stardust could only sputter in response, gripping Jinn's arms and trying to pull him off. Unable to free himself, Stardust was even more shocked when Jinn threw himself backwards and bending at the knees and waist, dropping the top of Stardust's head and shoulder into the pavement with their combined weights.
Both fell to the ground afterwards, breathing heavily, and unmoving. Jinn was the first one to move, climbing onto Stardust and clumsily punching downward at him. "How dare you even mention your sister, after what you did! After what you got her involved in! Where the hell were you when she was repenting?! Where the hell were you when she DIED?!" he yelled, punctuating each sentence with a punch. Still reeling from being suplexed moments before, the disguised dragon could only defend himself by covering his face. "I did what I thought I ha-" he was cut off by repeated blows against his guard. "Don't give me that BULLSHIT!" Jinn roared back, pounding down on him despite his guard.
"You're supposed to be some representation of martyrdom, of self-sacrifce, and all you can give me is some fucking tripe about 'doing what you had to do'?! Victim Sanctuary my ASS!" he continued, pounding downward until he was winded. Stardust took this opportunity to swing his body upward, reversing their position and hammering down on his signer. "You think I didn't have remorse? You think I don't regret what I've done, just because I never publically wept over it? The number of times I've protected this world outnumbers your years on it!" he yelled back, each blow finding it's mark on Jinn's face, until he bit down on his hand as it came near.
Stardust winces and pulled back from the bite, Jinn taking this chance to, yet again, reverse their positions and begin dropping elbows down onto Stardust's face. "So you've saved the world! Who cares! All that means is you've done it so many times you didn't even stop to look for another way to fix anything! You never spoke to Katou! You never even thought of it! You went right to blood! That's not the way anybody who claims to believe in self-sacrifice should be!" Jinn shouted back, before being kneed in the stomach repeatedly, then kicked off onto his back.
The two laid on the pavement, breathing heavily, neither one in much of a hurry to move, before the dragon finally spoke. "If you hate me so much, why haven't you thrown me aside yet. It can't just be that you feel like you owe me anything." The signer remained silent for a long while, before responding. "Even if I think you're loathesome, we want the same thing. We're partners, even if we're not friends. And if you try any shit like that again, I can send you packing." Stardust simply laughed in response. "So you'll stop me?" Jinn nodded, breathing heavily, staring into the sky. "Anyone who would let that happen in front of them has no courage. I'll never let someone else die on my watch." Jinn rolled over to continue responding, only to find no one else there, and pulled himself to his feet, grumbling.
"Asshole.. I wasn't done with him yet" he muttered, wandering off.
