"Well. After a long period of introspection. I came to a conclusion. I don't know what to do."

He hits the post again, barehanded.

"So, I decided to try this. This is what karate-ka do to achieve a good spirit or inner peace or whatever you wanna call it."

He hits the post yet again.

"I just keep doing this for hours, and the endless repetition and dull pain in my arm and hand wear on my mind and. Do something. I dunno. Strengthen my spirit or some jazz."

"The closest thing that I'd think applied to me would be the fact that a fear over death can stem from a fear of loss of control."
