Jinn is at a small table at a cafe.

He seems to be reading a book on logic and reasoning.

Standing on the table is the Sonic Chick he was previously chasing. Wearing a tiny mortar board, with a stick in it's mouth. There's a stack of similarly cerebral books, too.

Jinn pauses to rub his eyes, and the Sonic Chick smacks him with the stick. He begins to shake the chick, which squawks at him in anger, as he yells back at it.

"....do I even have to read this, where the hell did he even find you, you overgrown canary..."

It continues as such.

"I'd trust you, but I don't trust this bird to not take my wallet with him, or something."

"...I guess that's a good point." [She sighs, rubbing her head.] "I'm not havin' much luck finding that thing you told me to find."

He glances back down at the book.

"You should try meditating, you'd probably be able to do more stuff if you did."

[naturalcure]

"How do you figure?"

[beastkingnaoma]

"Well. Your injuries act up whenever you do too much, but also when you get too hopped up adrenaline, don't they?"

[naturalcure]

"Yeah, basically." [She takes a big sip of her coffee.]

[beastkingnaoma]

"So if you learn to control yourself better you could do more stuff."

[naturalcure]

"....I guess. [She drops her arms on to the table and drops her head into her arms.] "It already feels like I'm not doin' anything. If I just sat around all day trying to get all "zen" or whatever, it'd just make me feel worse."

[beastkingnaoma]

"Maybe you could try gardening with Desde. She does that right."

[naturalcure]

[FROWN.]

"Desde's been a total pain since we got back from that tournament."

[beastkingnaoma]

"Is she trying really hard to make sure you don't over do it?

Does she get you up at like 6 AM and is all like 'Time for gentle calisthenics and fruit salad for breakfast!' and then hides the coffee?"

[naturalcure]

"Why do you think I walked all the way out here just to get a damn cup of Blue-Eyes Mountain?" [She angrily takes another sip.] "Can't even enjoy the rich quality."

[beastkingnaoma]

"..I'm conflicted here."

[naturalcure]

"...conflicted?" [She raises an eyebrow.]

[beastkingnaoma]

"Well, on the one hand it's annoying you and making you miserable.

On the other hand, I find it really, really funny."

[naturalcure]

"...if I didn't walk six blocks to get this cup of coffee, I'd be spitting it in your face right now."

[Sip.]

[beastkingnaoma]

"I guess I'll feel bad for you and just laugh at the mental image of Desdemona being the Den Mother."

[naturalcure]

"Thanks. I guess I won't even tell you the other reason I came in here if you're too wracked with guffaws to listen."

[beastkingnaoma]

"No no, tell me I promise to try very hard not to laugh."

[naturalcure]

[She wordlessly continues to sip her coffee.]

[beastkingnaoma]

"Come on, tell me."

[naturalcure]

"Alright, fine."

[She takes about four minutes drinking the rest of the cup before she sets it down.]

"I saw you were in here and wanted to ask you something."

[beastkingnaoma]

"Uh huh."

[naturalcure]

"...Wanna go out?"

[beastkingnaoma]

He pauses to think.

"I do, but, I feel like there's something I have to say first."
