 ...Okay, look.

I'm the first to admit I've been out of the game for uh.

Five years? Five years.

Are duels just fights now.

I'm confused.

No. They're not supposed to be.

The whole current gimmick is you run around a giant Field Spell for the entertainment of the audience to make Duels more high contract/exciting and not golf.

The problem is a bunch of jerks from Russia and some School from Maiami are taking "Run around and try and deflect your opponent from getting cards means snapping their legs."

Not usually.

Just there's some very specific people who treat it like that.

I'm thinking it's more like. Chess boxing.

With street fight rules on. And you can't completely knock out your opponent until you finish them in the duel.

When Action Dueling started up in America, there was always some crossover. When people figured out physical contact to gain an advantage was allowed, it started becoming the standard pretty quick. Plus, y'know. Combat sports are a 4 billion dollar industry, so. The audience was into it too.

But in America, there's always an inherent respect for your opponent involved. Nobody wants to put anybody else in the hospital because we're all colleagues.

Vesik and his advocate clearly don't care about that.
